Information about the estate

Pokrovskoe-Rubtsovo Estate . Alternative title: Ulyankovo.

Large XVIIIth century estate, founded by Naschokin family, fell into the hands of Morozovs, famous Russian merchants and industrialists, in the 2nd half of XIXth century. The spacious manor has a few Classicism elements, but was seriously damaged by fire in 1999. Morozovs patronage had attracted many famous Russian artists and writers on the brink of the XXth century, including Anton Tchekov, Isaak Levitan and Fyodor Shalyapin.
